VANSIL^® WG

VANSIL^® WG Wollastonite is a relatively coarse particle, high aspect ratio wollastonite. It is principally used as a reinforcing agent to enhance mechanical strength and thermal and abrasion resistance in thermoplastics and thermosets, particularly phenolic friction products.

The high aspect ratio, needle like shape of VANSIL WG helps to enhance mechanical strength and stiffness properties while improving surface quality and durability. VANSIL WG also contributes to improved dimensional stability by reducing susceptibility to shrinkage and heat distortion. VANSIL WG has low resin demand, improves melt rheology, and contributes to reduced mold cycle time. VANSIL WG is used as the sole reinforcement or to complement glass fiber in providing strength, impact resistance, and dimensional stability.
