VANSIL^® W-40

VANSIL^® W-40 Wollastonite is a low aspect ratio fine grade for enhanced plastic toughness where a fine particle size is not required. VANSIL W-40 is fine-milled to an average aspect ratio of <5:1. Even though the particle size and average aspect ratio is low, this grade retains a significant portion of acicular particles. This provides superior functionality compared to isotropic fillers such as silicas and carbonates. VANSIL W-40 provides good color and low coefficient of thermal expansion. VANSIL W-40 is recommended for use in polypropylene, nylon, thermoplastic olefins, thermoplastic urethanes and other thermoplastic and thermoset compounds.
